The Association for Explosive Detection K-9s, International is one of the most unique professional organizations in the private K-9 industry. The association was formed in order to improve communication, coordination and accreditation of professional private explosive detection teams.
We recognize that today private and professional K-9 agencies cannot successfully function independent of one another. Our association bridges the gap and improves the overall professionalism of the industry.
The Association for Explosive Detection K-9s, International is dedicated to the continued professionalism of Explosive Detection dog handlers and their K-9 partners. Our goal is to insure that all members are trained properly to meet and/or exceed the certification goals of the Association.
Our members work with highly trained k-9s in multiple skill areas. But this organization was created to insure that the professionalism and performance of the explosive detection k-9 team is above reproach.
Our members are competent in the detection of various explosives, to include:
- Commercial Dynamite
- Ammonium Nitrate
- C-4 or Flex-X
- TNT or Military Dynamite
- Primer Cord
- Slurries or Water Gel
